Join ���޾�Ʒ����һ�� for a series of events coinciding with the ASLA Conference in New Orleans, October 10-13.

First, on October 9th, ���޾�Ʒ����һ��'s nineteenth daylong excursion, will visit three private properties that exemplify the extraordinary cultural and natural characteristics of Southeast Louisiana. This includes: LeJeune House, the oldest dwelling in New Roads; Afton Villa Gardens, restored over a 50-year-period beginning in 1972; and the antebellum Live Oak property, the subject of a stunning transformational research, planning, and design effort. The Mississippi River Basin landscape reflects the diverse cultures and settlement patterns of Native Peoples, French, English, and Spanish settlers, and African Americans that is unique to this part of the state. This excursion is a rare opportunity to discover the area’s rich cultural landscape legacy.

The day includes an al fresco luncheon at Live Oak.

On October 10, join the ���޾�Ʒ����һ�� Board of Directors for a reception at Octavia Art Gallery. Octavia Gallery was founded in 2008 with a curatorial dedication to “the works of emerging, mid-career and established artists with diverse cultural backgrounds and a strong focus on abstraction”; the women-owned and operated gallery is located on Magazine Street. Attendees will be able to explore the current exhibition featuring artists and while also spotlighting the education and advocacy efforts of the ���޾�Ʒ����һ�� this past year. The catered reception will also include a presentation of the ���޾�Ʒ����һ��’s Stewardship Excellence Award.
