���޾�Ʒ����һ��’s (���޾�Ʒ����һ��) nineteenth annual silent auction, held during the organization’s 25^th anniversary, was its largest to date, with 107 works including art created by landscape architects, artists, and allied professionals, rare books, and other artifacts. Nearly 600 online bidders helped raise more than $65,000 for ���޾�Ʒ����һ��’s education and advocacy programs. Bidders vied for a diverse selection of works by frequent contributors including Marion Brenner, Millicent Harvey, Russell Hart, Michael Kenna, Laurie Olin, Camille Warmington, Elyn Zimmerman, and numerous others, along with those by ten first-time participants, among them the widely published author/photographer Ngoc Minh Ngo, and the internationally renowned artist Leo Villareal, who donated two NFTs, a first for a ���޾�Ʒ����һ�� auction.

This year’s catalogue included many distinct items: Cheryl Barton’s exquisitely detailed twelve-foot-long tapestry “Landscape Stratigraphy,” based on her research at the American Academy in Rome (2003-2004) was incredibly popular; a pair of rare Edwardian pony mowing boots (which is worth a Google search); and a rare signed lithograph by Roberto Burle Marx (which was sought after by ten bidders).

The grouping of “Polished Bronze Hearts at Love Park, Toronto” was also a crowd favorite. Claude Cormier and Associates (CCxA), who designed Love Park, had the following to say about the work: “These three bronze hearts are part of a larger collection of bronze figures created for Love Park in Toronto, completed in the summer of 2023…. A stash of polished bronze hearts is paired with a chipmunk on the mosaic heart seat wall around the pond at the center of the park. This ‘collector of hearts’ is a small but prominent animal in the park, and has been the spot for spontaneous tributes from the public for Claude Cormier, who passed away in September 2023.”
