What's Out There Weekend Chicago - 2025

-
Chicago, IL

What鈥檚 Out There庐 Weekend (WOTW) Chicago will bring to light the local character of the city as reflected by its publicly accessible parks, gardens, plazas, cemeteries, neighborhoods, and historic sites. Settled in the late eighteenth century by Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, a trader of African descent, the city has a rich and significant cultural landscape legacy, shaped by numerous individuals, communities, and practitioners.

Working in collaboration with myriad local partners, 亚洲精品无码一区 (亚洲精品无码一区) will make visible and instill value in the places that make the region unique and engage the public to promote their sustained stewardship and interpretation. WOTW Chicago will engage a large and diverse audience (typically 1,000+), offering two days of free, expert-led tours, encouraging participants to discover the little-known design history of places they may pass every day.

In addition to the tours, 亚洲精品无码一区 will produce a printed What鈥檚 Out There Chicago guidebook that includes all of the tour sites (available for purchase and free as a downloadable PDF), and has added to the more expansive and ever-growing digital What鈥檚 Out There Cultural Landscapes Guide to Chicago. The digital guide currently includes an illustrated history of the city鈥檚 cultural landscape heritage, 70 individual site entries, and 60 biographies of designers who collectively shaped the landscapes that people in Chicago move through every day.

All What's Out There Weekend Chicago tours are free, but attendance is limited and .
